Job summary

Master Mansion Design Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is looking for an experienced Interior Designer to develop and produce creative concepts and detailed design solutions from concept to completion.

You will collaborate with clients, sales and production teams, create 2D/3D drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray, and other tools, manage budgets and timelines, conduct site visits, and mentor junior designers.

Qualifications

• Must possess Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, V-Ray, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator or equivalent.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in the interior design industry.
• Experience in cabinetry, renovations, or interior design firms would be an added advantage.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency verbal and writing in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese would an added advantage.
• A strong portfolio showcasing your design expertise and ability to create visually stunning, functional, and innovative spaces.
• Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends and industry best practices.
• A collaborative and solution-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Excellent communication, creativity, problem-solving, planning, and presentation abilities.
• Strong creative and attention to detail, responsibility, ability to work under deadlines, and able to work independently.
• Possess own transportation and be willing to travel for site visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and produce creative concepts and innovative ideas.
• Undertake design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality work.
• Producing detailed design plans, drawings, and specifications to guide the implementation of design solutions.
• Create and develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and layouts for projects, using industry-standard design software and tools.
• Prepare mood boards, material selections, and design specifications.
• Revise and update drawings in line with design modifications.
• Collaborating and coordinate with clients and sales team to understand their vision and design requirements, project requirements and design preferences, translating these into cohesive and compelling interior design concepts.
• Work closely with project, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Research, sourcing and selecting high-quality furnishings, materials, and finishes that align with the project's aesthetic and budget.
• Conduct site visits, measurements, and project inspections when required.
• Collaborate with designers and sales team to ensuring projects are delivered on time, within project budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
• Oversee on-site execution of design concepts, ensuring alignment with project specifications and client expectations when required.
• Mentoring and supporting junior designers to develop their skills and contribute to the team's success.
• Stay updated on design trends, materials, and sustainable solutions.
• To carry out any other duty & responsibility as needed for which the company may assign from time to time.
