Job summary

JLL in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia is seeking a Customs Compliance Specialist to support growing transaction volumes. You will engage with customs authorities, manage the i-Start front-end process, and ensure accurate entry of material supply invoices, coordinating with warehouse teams to close GR promptly.

The role emphasizes coordination with vendors, procurement, and operations, ensuring documentation quality and timely approvals for MRO and Baseline supplies while complying with regulatory

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of customs compliance and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Experience with i-start process and high-volume transactions.
• Knowledge of Baseline supplies & services and trade requirements.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate with vendor
• Provide required documents for submission for faster approval
• Implement change control processes or additional customs requirements
• Co-ordinate with customs agent
• Fast-track approval for exceptional purchases
• Act as liaison between POL, vendor, procurement and operations
• Coordinate with Operations
• Address urgent procurement needs to ensure supplies are available
• Coordinate with Procurement
• Communicate effectively with vendors on customs requirements
• Review customs and relevant documents during supplies to ensure GR readiness
• Lead front-end i-Start process and ensure accurate entry of invoices, coordinating with warehouse for GR closure
