Job summary

Lam Research in Kulim, Malaysia is seeking a Trade Operations professional to oversee end-to-end import/export processes, ensuring compliance with LMW regulations and customs requirements. You will liaise with internal teams and authorities to maintain audit-ready records and timely reporting.

The role focuses on HS code classification, risk management, and coordination of monthly/annual customs reporting, with strong emphasis on cross-functional teamwork and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Logistics, International Trade or related
• 4–6 years experience in import/export operations or trade compliance
• Familiarity with Malaysia Customs procedures, LMW framework, and brokerage coordination

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily import operations with accurate HS Code classification and compliance with LMW exemptions
• Monitor and control customs compliance and clearance activities, identify risks, escalate issues
• Submit monthly Customs Reports (M1 and M2) to authorities and customs officers on time
• Prepare and submit the annual Customs Report (M4) for Kulim site in compliance
• Verify RTV documentation from warehouse and operations prior to approvals
• Coordinate daily customs approval applications and liaise with Customs officers
• Ensure FG direct export movements are reviewed before approval and shipment
• Control transfers between Kulim and Batu Kawan with proper review and approval
• Report customs compliance matters to site and regional management
• Maintain audit-ready records of all customs movements and reporting
