Qualifications

Responsibilities

About the Role

Step into a pivotal leadership role with a fast-growing, innovative manufacturer from China. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a highly skilled Logistics Supervisor to spearhead our customs and import/export functions. Based in the vibrant hub of Danga Bay, Johor Bahru, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth cross-border operations and leading a dedicated shipping team.

Key Responsibilities

• Customs Leadership: Oversee all import and export customs declarations and clearance processes.
• Compliance & Strategy: Ensure strict compliance with Royal Malaysian Customs Department (JKDM) regulations.
• Technical Expertise: Manage HS code classification, customs valuation, and accurate duty and tax computations.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with customs authorities, forwarders, brokers, and internal cross‑functional teams.
• Audit & Exemption Management: Handle customs audits, licence applications, and manage critical exemptions (e.g., LMW, MIDA).
• Process Optimization: Monitor regulatory changes and proactively update internal procedures.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and supervise the customs and shipping team to achieve operational excellence.

What You Bring to the Team

• Education: A Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or a related field.
• Experience: At least 5 years of hands‑on customs experience, complemented by 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep, practical knowledge of Malaysian customs procedures, Dagang Net, and LMW operations.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in spoken and written Mandarin is required to effectively collaborate with our China-based headquarters, alongside strong English and Bahasa Malaysia for local regulatory and team communication.
• Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership capabilities and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset.

What We Offer

• Competitive Compensation: A strong basic salary of RM9,000 – RM12,000 per month, commensurate with experience.
