Job summary

Unknown Client requires an experienced Facilities Operations Manager to lead on-site operations, team and vendor management for facility operations and maintenance, finance, HSE, and procurement. Qualifications

  • Certified Data Centre Professional.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical, electrical, or operational engineering discipline.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in engineering or critical environment space.
  • 2-3 years of experience in the operation of electrical and mechanical services in Tier III or equivalent data centre or critical facility.
  • Competence and experience in maintenance and operations of data centre and/or critical environment space.
  • Hands-on experience and knowledge in M&E and building-related systems (e.g., CRAU, chillers, PDU, UPS, Switch Gears Ops, DX cooling, Network structure cabling, Security).
  • Competence in undertaking Job Hazards Analysis (JHA).
  • Sound computer skills in window-based operating systems; AutoCAD skill is an advantage.
  • Excellent people skills and ability to interact with a wide range of client and vendor staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing or business justification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to multi-skilled Engineering Operations teams, including directly employed staff and vendors.
  • Ensure all staff and vendors adhere to our client's policies and procedures within the facilities.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical failures, assisting the technical team with safety, identification, analysis, rectification, and improvement reporting.
  • Implement operational standards and procedures, preventive and planned maintenance programs, repair and replacement initiatives, and helpdesk management.
  • Manage both hard and soft service operations, ensuring all agreed procedures and standards are implemented.
  • Oversee all site repair and maintenance carried out by subcontractors, ensuring work completion, quality, and compliance with specifications and ordinances.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on the performance of specialist contractors against agreed contractual budgets.
  • Coordinate periodic meetings with contractors, specialist vendors, and suppliers to maintain standards and develop corrective action plans for underperformance.
  • Ensure maintenance documentation meets required standards for effective asset management.
  • Assist the client with statutory compliance requirements and certifications for the site.

About Our Client

Our client is a global professional services firm specializing in real estate and investment management.


Job Summary

This role leads on-site operational, team, and vendor management for facility operations and maintenance, finance, HSE, and procurement. It focuses on achieving excellence in preventative and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring statutory and contractual compliance. Requirements
