Job summary

Jurutera Perunding Primareka Sdn Bhd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor for Bandar Puchong Jaya. You will prepare tender documents, forecast material costs, and track cost changes as designs evolve.

Ideal candidates hold a Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying with 3+ years in construction, capable of cost estimation, budgeting, and collaborating with clients and project teams to ensure financial controls and successful tender submissions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related field
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management and project financial controls
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with pre-qualification, tender bids, and quotations preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Able to take-off quantities and prepare cost estimates and budgets

Responsibilities

• Familiar with tender exercises in main Contractor's environment and prepare submission-ready tender documents
• Forecast costs of materials for projects and update budgets as design changes occur
• Track design/construction changes and adjust budget projections accordingly
• Assist in selecting and sourcing construction materials and engage contractors/subcontractors as needed
• Liaise with clients and project teams (Site Managers, Project Managers, Site Engineers) to align on budgets and scope
• Undertake other duties as instructed by supervisor

Familiar with tender exercise in main Contractor's environment.

Open app To handle pre-contract & post-contract administrative works - preparation and compilation of tender documents for submission.

To forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.

To track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly. To produce or agree the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project measure and value the work done on site.

To liaise with the client and other construction professionals, such as Site Managers, Project Managers and Site Engineers. To select and/or source construction materials.

To undertake other duties and responsibilities as instructed by superior.

Job Requirement

Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field Preferably with more than 3 year(s) of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry

Strong understanding of construction contracts, cost management and project financial controls

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferably those with experience in pre-qualification exercise, tender bids and preparing quotations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Able to take-off quantities and prepare cost estimates and budgets
