Job summary

Newfields Land Sdn Bhd is seeking a Contracts QS/Contract Executive with a minimum of five years' experience in contract management and tender processes. You will coordinate with Consultants, prepare awards, and manage contractual documentation across projects in the Klang Valley.

The role requires a degree in a related field with strong language skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; knowledge of Chinese is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have contract and procurement experience in construction.
• Experience managing tenders, awards and contract correspondence.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Chinese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and coordinate with Consultants to tender and award all contracts per design, schedule, and SOP.
• Attend tender and award meetings, interviews, clarifications, and sample reviews.
• Prepare recommendations of award and letters of appointment/award.
• Prepare purchase orders, final accounts and contractual correspondences.
• Update and monitor contract awards, cash flow, and project finances.
• Maintain documentation on contracts and claims; liaise with Consultants for cost justification.
• Verify claims and payments to Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers.
• Ensure costings for Consultants' Instructions and back charges are included in main/sub-contracts.

Job description

Implement and coordinate with Consultants to tender and award all contracts in accordance to Design requirement, construction programme and standard operation procedure.

Attend to all Tender and Award related meetings, interviews, clarification issues and organize samples review sessions

Preparation of recommendation of award

Preparation of Letter of Appointments, Letter of Award, Purchase Order, Final Account and contractual correspondences

Update contracts award, monitor project financial status and prepare cash flow projection

Ensure proper documentation system on project matters related to contracts and claims of the projects

Liaise with Consultants for cost estimation, rationalization and justification of rates for VO / awarded contract / upgrading works

Verify claims and payments to Consultants, Contractors and Suppliers

Ensure costing for all Consultants' Instructions and back charges are incorporated into main and sub-contract's interim claim and final account

Assist Contracts Manager in control of contracts administration

Manage and monitor the duties of Contracts Executive

Job Reqirement:

Degree in related field

At least 5 years working experience as QS / Contract Executive

Experience in contract management, handle tender / award process

Languages required: English, Bahasa Malaysia (Conversant in Chinese will be an added advantage)
