Malaysia Land Properties Sdn Bhd (Mayland Group of Companies) seeks a seasoned contract manager to oversee all contract activities for its property development projects. You will draft, review and negotiate contracts with contractors and stakeholders to ensure policy alignment and project goals.
You will lead RFV and tender processes, align contracts with budgets, monitor costs, and manage disputes and claims while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation across the portfolio.
Responsible for overseeing and managing all contractual aspectsto support the company’s property development projects.
Draft, review and negotiate contracts with contractors and other stakeholders, ensuring contracts align with company policies, regulatory requirements and project goals.
Manage and oversee the Request for Variation (RFV) process and ensure approvals align with project requirements.
Manage the tender award process, including evaluation, negotiation and contract finalization.
Work closely with project managers, procurement teams and finance department to align contracts with project budgets and timelines.
Analyze and evaluate project costs and collaborate with project teams to prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets.
Monitor project cost updates, final accounts and cost reconciliation to ensure budget alignment.
Optimize contract terms to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
Review, evaluate and verify contractual claims from contractors, suppliers and consultants.
Handle contract-related disputes, variations and claim efficiently.
Identify potential contractual risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Keep abreast of the relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure all contracts adhere to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Maintain proper documentation of all contact-related issues.
Perform ad hoc tasks as delegated by the superior.
Job requirements:
Candidate must possess Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
Minimum 5-10 years of experience in contract management within the construction or property development industry.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes and real estate regulations.
Knowledgeable in feasibility study and cost estimation.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
