Swissma Building Technologies Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (Contract Assistant Manager) to oversee the full contract lifecycle, including preparation, review, negotiation, administration, and renewal. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Quantity Surveying, Procurement, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in contract management, procurement, commercial management, or related roles.
• Experience managing commercial contracts, vendor agreements, service agreements, and project contracts.
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, property development, or related industries is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of contract law and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of risk management and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and contract management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts and amendments.
• Ensure contracts comply with company policies, legal requirements, and business objectives.
• Maintain an organized contract repository and accurate record-keeping.
• Monitor contract validity, renewal dates, and termination clauses.
• Identify contractual risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Review terms and conditions to safeguard the company's interests.
• Resolve disputes and claims with internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, consultants, and legal advisors.
• Provide contract guidance to management and operations teams.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Finance, HR, Legal, and Project teams for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Monitor contract performance and obligations fulfillment.
• Support audits related to contracts and commercial documentation.
• Track key deliverables, milestones, and SLAs.
• Prepare contract reports, risk assessments, and management updates.
• Evaluate contractor and supplier performance against requirements.
• Manage variations, claims, and change orders.
• Assist in dispute resolution, negotiations, and settlements.
• Maintain documentation supporting claims and extensions of time.
