Job summary

Perkasa Tinggi Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator/Quantity Surveyor to lead subcontract administration, progress claims, variation orders, and cost control on major building and infrastructure projects. You will ensure contractual compliance and rigorous cost monitoring across the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of main contractor operations, procurement, payments, extensions of time, and final accounts, with 5+ years in a similar role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in contract administration or quantity surveying.
• Experience within a main contractor environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract administration, progress claims, variation orders and contractual procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee subcontract administration, progress claims, variation orders, procurement and project cost control.
• Prepare, review and administer trade subcontracts, work orders and supply agreements.
• Prepare and submit monthly main contract progress claims to clients and consultants.
• Evaluate, verify and certify subcontractor progress claims and payment recommendations.
• Manage variation orders, including cost evaluations and negotiations with consultants and subcontractors.
• Coordinate joint site measurements, re-measurements and valuations with project teams.
• Monitor budgets, material usage and overall project expenditure to identify risks.
• Prepare and review contractual claims, EOT supporting documents and final accounts.
• Maintain contract documentation, cost reports and commercial correspondence.
• Liaise with project managers, site personnel and subcontractors to resolve issues.
• Provide guidance to junior contract or quantity surveying personnel.
