Job summary

EKSHENG is seeking an experienced and proactive Site Supervisor to join our construction team in Melaka Tengah, Melaka. This full-time role oversees day-to-day operations at our construction sites and leads the team to ensure projects are safe, on schedule, and within budget.

You will monitor progress, inspect sites for safety and quality, manage resources, and communicate with project managers, clients, and stakeholders. A CIDB card and travel willingness are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction supervision or a similar supervisory role on construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations in Malaysia.
• Proven experience in project scheduling, resource management, and cost control.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide construction workers.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
• Sound understanding of health and safety standards and workplace regulations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing site challenges.
• Physical fitness and capability to work on site in various weather conditions.
• Relevant certifications such as a CIDB card or equivalent qualification (preferred).
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel within the project area.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating the activities of construction workers and tradespeople on site.
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines.
• Conducting regular site inspections to verify compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Managing site resources, including equipment, materials, and labour allocation.
• Communicating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders regarding site progress and any issues that arise.
• Maintaining accurate site records, including daily logs, incident reports, and safety documentation.
• Implementing and enforcing health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Identifying potential risks and implementing corrective measures to prevent accidents and delays.
• Training and mentoring site personnel on proper procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.
• Liaising with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Resolving conflicts and managing site personnel performance issues professionally.
