Job summary

Bandai Namco in Malaysia seeks an experienced concept artist to translate direction from the art director into compelling visuals for characters, creatures, props, backgrounds, color scripts, and storyboards. You will produce concept drawings and contribute to asset development across projects.

Collaborating with the Tokyo HQ project team, you will help mitigate asset issues and provide artistic feedback on game design, while mentoring junior artists and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5-8+ years of professional experience in gaming or related field
• A portfolio demonstrating outstanding drawing and fine art skill, including figure drawing and high degree of self-direction
• Strong Photoshop/illustration skills
• Must be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure
• Illustration and painting

Responsibilities

Description

The concept artist produces inspiring artworks under the direction of the art director and lead concept artist. These artworks define the design and aesthetic for various project elements, including: concept drawings, character/creature/prop designs, backgrounds, color scripts, storyboards and solving visual challenges.

Responsibilities

• Create artwork for both reference use of the Art team
• Under the guidance of both the Art Director and Lead Concept Artist, contribute to the creation of a style guide covering all artistic aspects of the product
• Required to work with a Project team in Tokyo HQ to mitigate any issues that may arise in the creation of assets

• アート視点から、ゲームデザイン全般に関するフィードバックをする
