What you'll be doing?

Cloud & Infrastructure Project Delivery: Lead and deliver complex cloud and infrastructure projects for clients, ensuring all technical deliverables are executed to the highest standard within agreed timelines, scope, and quality expectations.

System Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Proactively monitor customer systems and infrastructure environments, identify potential issues, and resolve technical problems swiftly to maintain service reliability and minimise disruption to client operations.

Customer Satisfaction: Take ownership of maintaining a 90% or above customer satisfaction rating by delivering consistent, high-quality cloud and infrastructure support solutions that genuinely delight clients.

Team Leadership & Mentoring: Guide, coach, and support junior and mid-level engineers within the support team, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and technical excellence.

Backup & Disaster Recovery Management: Oversee and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions using Veeam Backup and Replication or Sangfor Backup and ADR, ensuring data protection and business continuity for clients at all times.

Cloud Platform Management: Deploy, manage, and optimise cloud-based environments across platforms such as Sangfor, Azure Local, S2D, or VMware, ensuring high availability and performance for client workloads.

Internal Innovation Projects: Actively participate in internal projects focused on next-generation cloud and infrastructure solutions, contributing technical expertise to drive innovation and continuous service improvement across the organisation.

Continuous Learning & Certification: Commit to ongoing professional development through certifications and self-directed learning to stay current with emerging cloud and infrastructure technologies and remain well-equipped for complex project assignments.

Support Team Assistance: Provide hands-on technical support to the wider team when required, reinforcing a collaborative and responsive service culture across the department.

Reporting & Performance Updates: Prepare and contribute to weekly achievement updates and half-yearly department goal strategy reviews for management visibility and performance alignment.

Who are they looking for?

Relevant Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud or technical engineering roles is required, with strong hands-on exposure to delivering cloud-based infrastructure solutions and providing technical support in a professional or managed services environment.

Educational Qualification: A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required as the academic foundation for this role.

Backup & Recovery Expertise: Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup and Replication or Sangfor Backup and ADR is essential for managing data protection, replication, and disaster recovery responsibilities in this role.

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are critical, as the role involves diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues across diverse customer infrastructure environments.

System Operations Knowledge: A solid understanding of system operations, virtualisation, and service reliability principles is important for maintaining the high availability standards expected by clients.

Communication & Teamwork: Strong communication and collaboration abilities are key, as the role requires effective engagement with both technical team members and non-technical client stakeholders on a regular basis.

Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential for client communication, technical documentation, and internal reporting.

Cloud Platform Proficiency: Experience with cloud platforms such as Sangfor, Azure Local, S2D, or VMware is a strong advantage and will be highly valued in delivering the range of cloud infrastructure projects managed by the team.

Mentoring Experience: Prior experience in mentoring or guiding junior engineers within a structured team lead or senior technical capacity would be highly regarded for this leadership-oriented role.
