Job summary

Rapsodo, a sports technology company, is seeking a hands-on procurement professional in Kuala Lumpur to manage sourcing of electronic components and hardware materials. You will work with NPI, Engineering, Planning and China-based suppliers, negotiating prices and lead times. Fluency in Mandarin and English is required, with experience in ERP systems and BOM management.

Qualifications

• 5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in electronics, hardware or manufacturing.
• Experience purchasing electronic components, semiconductor, mechanical parts or other manufacturing materials.
• Business‑level Mandarin communication with China suppliers and strong English communication skills.
• Experience negotiating price, lead time and delivery commitments with suppliers.
• Good understanding of BOMs, part numbers and engineering changes.
• Experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
• Strong follow‑up, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of suppliers and materials.
• Experience working with contract manufacturers is highly advantageous.

• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, MOQ and lead times, and place purchase orders.
• Monitor supplier commitments and ensure materials are available for production.
• Identify shortages, delays and supply risks early and drive recovery actions with suppliers.
• Work with Planning, Engineering, Operations and NPI on forecasts, BOM changes and new product requirements.
• Support supplier performance management and identify alternative sources where needed.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier information in the ERP system.

The Role

You will manage the sourcing and procurement of electronic components and hardware materials that power our sports technology products, working closely with our NPI, Engineering, Planning as well as our China based suppliers. This is a hands on procurement role suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced, hardware driven environment and can communicate fluently in both English and Mandarin.
