Serve as the primary interface between customer order planning teams and project stakeholders, ensuring effective coordination across functions.
Support material simulation activities to accommodate customer order fluctuations and fulfillment requirements.
Analyse and act on MRP reports following each MRP run.
Provide daily updates on material delivery issues via the critical material tracking list.
Participate in regular task force reviews on critical supply material status and **escalate** issues in accordance with the escalation framework.
Attend daily operations review meetings as a platform for information exchange with customer order planning.
Ensure materials arrive in the correct quantity and at the right time to prevent production disruption.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to mitigate line stoppages when material delivery is at risk.
Track and monitor supplier delivery performance on an ongoing basis.
Manage suppliers with higher complexity levels and support supplier development activities.
Prepare reports and presentation materials as required.
Support continuous process improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
2. Planning Parameter Review
Continuously review and adjust planning parameters in line with business trends and demand changes.
3. Inventory Management
Support inventory management activities to achieve monthly coverage targets and inventory turns.
Drive timely disposition of rejected and obsolete materials, minimise overhanging stock, pursue overhanging material claims, and manage transportation-damage dispositions.
4. Cost Management
Develop strategic plans to minimise special freight and premium logistics costs arising from supply disruptions.
Process special freight claims and line-down claims resulting from supplier delinquency.
Participate in engineering change requests and determine implementation dates for raw material changes.
Support the project team in setting effective dates for software-related engineering changes.
6. Reporting & Analysis
Support analysis of raw material ABC classification, inventory reporting, and related data as required.
Support lean manufacturing initiatives including kanban and consignment implementation and continuous improvement projects.
8. Team & Departmental Support
Collaborate across logistics and cross-functional departments to meet shared objectives.
Contribute toward achieving departmental goals and key performance indicators.
Escalate procurement issues affecting individual value streams to the appropriate level.
Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in any discipline.
3 to 5 years of experience in procurement planning, material planning, or supply chain planning.
Strong working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory management principles.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical, decision-making, and data management capabilities.
Independent, proactive, and results-driven with a high sense of ownership.
