Jora Malaysia is seeking a Material Planning Manager to ensure materials are available on time and in the right quantity to support production and customer requirements. You will lead the material planning and supply planning teams and develop plans based on production schedules, forecasts, and inventory levels.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of experience, with strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and advanced Excel.

The Material Planning Manager is responsible for ensuring the right materials are available at the right time and in the right quantity to support production and customer requirements while maintaining optimal inventory levels and controlling material costs.
Key responsibilities
Lead and manage the material planning and supply planning team
Develop material plans based on production schedules, forecasts, customer demand, and inventory requirements
Ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, packaging, and other production materials
Review MRP (Material Requirements Planning) outputs and ensure appropriate purchase and replenishment actions
Monitor inventory levels and establish appropriate safety-stock and reorder strategies
Coordinate closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics, Sales, and Operations teams
Analyze demand and supply gaps and develop mitigation plans for shortages or excess inventory
Monitor supplier delivery performance and **escalate** material shortages or delays
Support production scheduling by ensuring material readiness
Identify and reduce excess, obsolete, slow-moving, and aged inventory
About you
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
Typically 7–10 years of experience in material planning, production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing, with management experience
Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and inventory management
Experience managing planning teams and working with cross-functional stakeholders
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, procurement, inventory control, and supplier management
ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis
