Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Material Planner to ensure timely procurement and production readiness. You will plan material requirements based on production plans, demand, BOM, and supplier lead times, monitor availability, and coordinate with Purchasing and Suppliers.

You will have a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in SCM or related field, 2–5 years of experience in Material Planning, and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in SCM, logistics, business administration, manufacturing, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning or Inventory Management.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of BOM, MRP, inventory control, lead times, MOQ, and safety stock.
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan material requirements based on production plans, customer demand, MRP, BOM, inventory, and lead times.
• Monitor material availability and ensure materials are ready per production schedule.
• Review MRP requirements and coordinate purchases with Purchasing.
• Monitor open purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier commitments.
• Expedite critical or delayed materials to prevent production disruption.
• Maintain safety stock, reorder levels, MOQ, and lead-time parameters.
• Identify shortages, excess, slow-moving, and obsolete materials.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve material issues.
• Adjust material plans with changes in production, demand, engineering changes, and supply conditions.
• Support material planning for New Product Introduction (NPI) and engineering changes.

• Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and suppliers to resolve material issues

About you

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Material Planning, Supply Chain, Production Planning, or Inventory Management, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent
• Good understanding of BOM, MRP, inventory control, production planning, material lead times, MOQ, and safety stock
• Strong analytical, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal departments and suppliers
