Job summary

DXN Holdings Bhd is seeking a Business Development Consultant based in Penang, Malaysia. The role focuses on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, researching market needs, and developing strategies to increase market share and revenue.

You will establish relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, and potential clients while collaborating with management and technical teams to expand testing services.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Environmental Science, Food Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, technical sales, account management, or commercial roles, preferably in a testing laboratory, inspection, certification, or analytical services environment.
• Experience in selling laboratory testing services or technical solutions to industrial or commercial customers is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to develop new accounts, build customer relationships, negotiate commercial terms, and achieve sales targets.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing services, quality management systems, and relevant industry requirements is preferred.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel for customer visits, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and market segments.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging customer needs, industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to increase market share, revenue, and customer acquisition.
• Establish and maintain relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, importers, exporters, distributors, consultants, and other potential clients.
• Explore opportunities to introduce new testing services and expand existing service offerings in collaboration with management and technical teams.
