Job summary

Ambition in Penang is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead regional freight forwarding improvements across import, export, and cross-border operations, with direct exposure to regional leadership and customer IT partners.

You will own EDI and system integration governance, support trade compliance and customs reporting, drive data validation and management reporting, and mentor junior analysts across multi-country operations.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of experience as a business analyst in logistics or freight forwarding.
• Hands-on experience with EDI and system integrations (EDIFACT, XML, JSON, API).
• Proficient in SQL; PostgreSQL experience is a plus.
• Experience in Agile project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional improvements across freight forwarding lifecycle.
• Own EDI and system integration activities, governance and onboarding.
• Support trade compliance, customs reporting, data quality.
• Drive data validation, management reporting, and insights for stakeholders.
