Job summary

Lotuss Stores Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Finance professional to oversee Sales Reporting, Marketing Costs, Inventories and Waste for the company’s stores. You will collaborate with Commercial Director andTrading Directors to drive accurate, timely financial deliverables and support budgeting and forecasting.

The role requires strong Power BI reporting, advanced Excel, and a track record in commercial finance. FMCG/retail experience and leadership of a team are advantages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in Commercial Finance or related areas.
• Professional qualifications (MIA/MICPA/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA) preferred.

You are a finance professional responsible for managing the accuracy and timeliness of Sales Reporting, management of Marketing Costs, Inventories and Waste for Lotus's stores, partnering with Commercial Director, Trading Directors and have a wide range of responsibilities which include:

About the Role

Lead the sales reporting function for all our stores, with strong stakeholder engagement with Commercial Director, Trading Directors and Buying Managers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all deliverables

Manage and optimize Marketing Costs, Inventories and Waste and ensuring that we meet these KPIs as per our Budget

Ensuring compliance with Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act

Spearhead improvements/changes in reporting using Power BI as the platform, including management of BIC reporting to Thailand

Support Financial Budgeting, Planning and Forecasting. Develop annual Budget, create and maintain monthly rolling forecasts to project future financial performance. Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast, identifying key drivers and trends

Evaluate promotions ROI and effectiveness

Supporting Commercial Team with significant decision to be made ensuring end to end financial analysis

Supervise Business Analysts and providing mentoring, coaching and development

Perform month end closing on matters relating to Sales, Marketing Costs and Waste

Ensure internal controls and corporate governance principles are adhered to

Participate in adhoc business cases and projects

Qualifications

Minimum Degree in Accounting / Finance, preferably with accounting professional qualification (MIA/MICPA/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA)

At least 5+ years’ experience in Commercial Finance/ related areas

Required Skills

Intermediate/ advanced knowledge in SQL, Power BI and Power Query is preferred

Possess strong planning, organizing, communication and influencing skills

Serious commitment to responsibilities with the ability to work under pressure

Good communication, report writing, mentoring skills and strong analytical skills

Computer literate with advanced excel skills

Self-motivated, good team leader and good team player

Experienced in leading a team of people would be an added advantage

FMCG /MNC/ Retail experience would be an added advantage
