Job summary

Charterhouse Resources in Johor is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive growth for contract logistics across Johor and Singapore. You will lead strategic sales initiatives, develop key accounts, and tailor customised logistics solutions for clients while coordinating with operations and customer service teams.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant sales experience in logistics, strong negotiation skills, and an extensive Johor/Singapore network.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of relevant sales / business development experience in logistics, supply chain, contract logistics or freight forwarding.
• Strong understanding of warehousing, distribution, transportation and supply chain solutions.
• Proven track record in new business development and closing B2B sales.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and consultative selling skills.
• Existing network within the Johor and/or Singapore logistics market will be highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Strong relationship-building and client management abilities.
• Highly motivated, proactive and results-oriented.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Willing to travel regularly to Singapore and within Johor.

Responsibilities

• Drive and exceed sales targets for the contract logistics business.
• Develop and grow the Johor and Singapore markets.
• Identify and secure new business through prospecting, networking, referrals and other sales channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
• Understand customer requirements and propose customised logistics solutions.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and commercial quotations.
• Lead contract, pricing and commercial negotiations.
• Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling to existing customers.
• Work closely with Operations, Logistics and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth implementation and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
• Travel regularly within Johor and Singapore for client meetings and business development activities.
