Job summary

United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd is seeking a senior Business Development professional to acquire corporate and institutional clients in Malaysia. You will identify opportunities, present tailored banking solutions, and collaborate with product, credit and onboarding teams.

With at least five years in banking, you will demonstrate strong relationship building, negotiation skills and knowledge of corporate products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in business, finance, or economics.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within banking/financial services.
• Strong track record of achieving sales targets and building client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business development strategies to acquire corporate and institutional clients.
• Proactively identify and engage potential clients through market research, networking, and direct outreach.
• Conduct needs assessments and financial analyses to tailor banking solutions (corporate finance, trade finance, cash management, treasury).
• Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients, articulating the value of UOB's offerings.
• Negotiate terms and collaborate with product and credit teams to deliver integrated solutions and onboarding.
• Maintain a strong pipeline and forecast progress against targets; represent UOB at industry events to generate leads.
