Job summary

Brenntag in Malaysia is seeking an AP Specialist to deliver timely processing of accounts payable and resolve operational issues, ensuring accurate invoicing and T&E processing. You will manage workload, support cross-functional SSC activities, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining a high level of customer service.

The role requires a degree in Commerce/Finance/Accounting and at least 3 years of relevant experience, with shared services experience considered an advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Commerce, Finance or Accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience.
• Industry or shared services experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform more complex daily processing activities within agreed timelines.
• Identify repetitive issues or risks, propose improvements and support project execution.
• Monitor data quality and perform transactional data quality assurance; conduct peer checks.
• Prepare analytic reports and accounting schedules; review irregularities and develop corrective actions.
• Respond to queries, explain procedures and control requirements per SOP.
• Support internal/external audits and process development; participate in UAT and continuous process improvements.
• Process Travel & Expense receipts and payments; monitor status of pending invoices and T&E claims.
• Collaborate with cross-functional SSC teams for monthly closing activities, ensuring high service levels to stakeholders.
