Job summary

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is seeking a detail‑oriented Reconciliations Specialist to manage daily cash and stock reconciliations and maintain data accuracy across ledgers and custodians. You will support the Australia region with a 5am–2pm schedule, requiring flexibility for business needs.

The role focuses on investigating breaks, handling client inquiries, and delivering timely reports while upholding a client‑first mindset and high quality standards.

What is the opportunity?

RBC Investor & Treasury Services Malaysia is a processing center of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones. The country employs a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability.

Job Description

You will be responsible for the day to day processing of reconciliations including Asset and Cash accounts on a daily basis via Reconciliations Platform to ensure the positions between the ledger and the relevant custodians agree. As a control function, the breaks on the reconciliation need to be kept to a minimum level to ensure accurate data is being maintained. The role is to deliver specific services to external and internal clients with high level of quality, efficiency and fostering a client first mindset.

You will be supporting Australia region, working hours would be between 5am - 2pm. However, flexibility is required to support business needs.

What will you do?

• Review and clearance of daily cash and stock reconciliations via TLM.
• Investigation of all cash and asset breaks and ensure they are assigned to the right departments.
• E-mail queries are investigated and responded on a timely manner.
• Produce and maintain required periodic reporting as required to support the client and/or business needs.
• Produce and maintain statistical information for internal and client distribution.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Banking experience in operations / back office.
• Good reconciliations knowledge
• Experience on Custody/Shareholder services
• Understanding in other functions like Entitlements, Cash Management, Transaction Management, Settlements, Fund Accounting

Nice-to-have

• PC literate in MS Office applications
• Flexibility in working hours and able to work in a team to achieve goals
• Excellent attention to details and communication skills
• Well-developed organisational and administrative skills
