Job summary

Royal Bank of Canada is seeking an Administrator for Banking Treasury Operations on a 6-month contract in Putrajaya, Malaysia. You will support trade processing of loans, deposits and credit facilities, input and maintain credit information, and assist with regulatory reporting and management information, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

The role emphasises client-first service, risk awareness and change management.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Experience with data entry and record maintenance.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in processing transactions.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet software and MS Office.
• Familiarity with Avaloq system is a plus.

Responsibilities

Administrator, Banking Treasury Operations (6 Months Contract)

Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments and treasury services. Our client has a processing centre of operational excellence supporting 10 countries across three geographical time zones employing a Global Operating Model to maximise efficiencies across times zones and supports a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives for Malaysia are to enhance the scalability of their global operations, improve service quality via their 'centres of excellence' and to implement/leverage standardised processes globally.

What will you do?

Client First & KPI

• Trade processing of Loan, Deposits & establish new credit facilities in systems.
• Input and maintain credit information in book of record and related databases to ensure all facilities are correctly recorded.
• Assist with preparation of Regulatory report and reports for Management information
• Maintain and archive credit administration files
• Approve loan draw downs and collateral releases as appropriate
• Processing of Remittances, FX & FX Derivatives
• Receive/Deliver settlement instructions
• Responsible and accurate processing client-side fees, such as Nostro & Custodian fees, Client Custody, Management and Performance fees.

Risk Awareness and Escalation

• Adherence to all control points in place
• Ensure all queries are addressed promptly and accurately
• Demonstrate clear understanding and adherence to WM escalation protocol

Change Management & Transformation

• Review process flows and initiate process improvements via change requests, defects. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Participate in projects, strategic initiatives and testing

Professionalism and Growth

• Demonstrate clear understanding and apply the RBC Values, cultures and leadership model in all daily dealings
• Active enrollment in courses offered by Learning & Development team and to apply knowledge gained in day to day processing
• Provide relief support and other duties assigned for co-worker/line manager and cross train on all functions performed with the team and across department

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• Self-motivated and able to work under pressure in a dynamic and fast paced environment
• Preferably 1-2 years of working experiences within a Private Bank or Wealth Management environment, however fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Understanding of treasury fundamentals (interest rate, FOREX). Good computer skills.
• Good inter-personal and communication skills (written and verbal) in the English Language
• Committed and responsible with an attitude to ensure accuracy and completeness
  

Nice-to-have

• Familiarity with Avaloq system, experience with managing client data
