Job summary

FWD Malaysia Holdings Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a senior actuarial analyst to support Solvency II provisions, reporting, and governance across regional entities. You will review assumptions, contribute to management reporting, and drive process improvements while collaborating with Asia teams.

The role requires 4+ years of actuarial experience and strong technical skills in Excel, Prophet/AXIS, SQL, and VBA.

Qualifications

• University degree in Actuarial Science, Risk Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related quantitative discipline.
• Good progress toward actuarial qualification (SOA, IFoA, CAS, or equivalent) is preferred.
• 4+ years actuarial experience in life insurance valuation, financial reporting, or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of Solvency II principles or similar risk-based frameworks.
• Excellent English communication across regional teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Solvency II technical provisions and reporting with regional entities.
• Perform variance and sensitivity analysis on BEL and RM.
• Lead NB performance reporting and analyze key metrics (APE, NBV, NBM).
• Support actuarial governance with model reviews and methodology updates.
• Provide ad-hoc analyses for capital management and strategic planning.
