Willis Towers Watson in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an entry- to early-career actuary to join our regional consulting team. You will work across a variety of general insurance projects including pricing, data science, IFRS 17, reserve valuation, and M&A, collaborating with consultants and project managers to deliver high-quality results.

You will develop actuarial models using WTW software, apply techniques to provide tailored solutions, and communicate findings to clients.

Qualifications

• Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a relevant quantitative field.
• Fresh grads or up to 2 years actuarial experience.
• Progress in actuarial exams with a recognised actuarial body (e.g. CAS, IFoA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good time management and multi-project delivery capabilities.
• Understanding of general insurance, reserving, IFRS 17, M&A or pricing is a plus.
• Experience with WTW software (ResQ, Emblem/REA, Radar) is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work with consultants and project managers on general insurance client projects (pricing, data science, IFRS 17, reserve valuation, M&A).
• Develop actuarial models using WTW software and apply techniques to deliver tailored solutions.
• Produce, analyse, explain and communicate results to project leads and clients.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and pursue professional development.
• Manage time and workload across multiple projects while meeting billable targets.
• Support client communications and build trusted advisor relationships.
• Assist with project management, planning and progress tracking against objectives.
