Herbs 'N' Food Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Accounts Executive to join the Finance Department in Malaysia. The role reports to the Finance Director and involves handling daily sales and purchases, payments, bookkeeping, and reporting with other admin duties.

Qualifications

• Professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA) or degree/diploma in Accounting/Finance/Commerce.
• 4+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a commercial, outsourcing, or shared services environment.
• Basic knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and relevant tax and audit rules, procedures, and guidelines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, and familiar with industry-standard accounting software; proficiency in SQL Financial Accounting Software will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills in English, Chinese, and Bahasa Malaysia; candidates proficient in Chinese are preferred to communicate with Chinese-speaking suppliers and clients.
• Strong attention to detail, an inquisitive mindset, good organisational skills, and integrity.
• Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and take ownership of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle full-set accounting, including month-end and year-end closing and bank reconciliation
• Prepare staff and other relevant claims
• Liaise with and respond to external auditors
• Prepare meeting agendas and minutes
• Compile monthly financial and management reports for monthly meetings
• Assist with e-invoicing setup and implementation
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
