Job summary

Otis Elevator Company (M) Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya is seeking an experienced intercompany accounting specialist. You will manage intercompany accounting processes, ensure accurate month-end close, and coordinate with internal teams and shared services to resolve invoice discrepancies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance (or ACCA/CPA/MIA) and at least 5 years in intercompany accounting, with strong analytical skills and proficiency in ERP systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage intercompany accounting processes, including reconciliation, and month-end close activities across multiple entities. Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting across various entities
• Investigate, dispute, and resolve intercompany invoice discrepancies
• Act as the primary liaison between internal business units and external shared service providers on accounting matters Manage intercompany transactions, eliminations and reconciliations
• Coordinate and monitor invoice processing, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation
• Lead and resolve invoice disputes with both internal stakeholders and external shared service teams, ensuring closure within agreed timelines
• Review and improve existing processes and controls related to intercompany transactions and invoice management
• Drive process improvements, standardization, and system enhancements
• Support management reporting and ad-hoc finance analysis as required

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance and / or a chartered qualification in either (ACCA, CPA, MIA etc)
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in intercompany accounting environment, high attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands‑on experience managing end-to-end Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) activities is essential.
• Strong understanding of intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and accounting principles
• Experience working in a matrix organization, effectively managing cross‑functional stakeholders across multiple business units and regions.
• Proven ability to handle high‑volume transactions and resolve complex discrepancies/disputes
• Familiarity with ERP systems
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
