Job summary

Beyondsoft Malaysia is seeking a Contract Senior Accounts Executive to support our Finance Shared Services team during a maternity cover. The role manages full-set accounting (AR, AP and GL) for multiple regional entities and assists with month-end closing and reporting.

Based in Kuala Lumpur, the 9-month contract involves knowledge transfer before taking over responsibilities and coordinating with regional stakeholders in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounts is required.
• Strong understanding of AR, AP and GL processes and month-end closing.
• Experience coordinating with regional stakeholders is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-set accounting activities for AR, AP and GL.
• Perform month-end closing, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely financial reporting in line with policies and standards.
• Support audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Contract Senior Accounts Executive to support our Finance Shared Services team during a maternity cover period.

The role will be responsible for managing full-set accounting activities, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions, for multiple regional entities. The successful candidate will support month-end closing, audit preparation, financial reporting and day-to-day accounting operations.

This is a 9-month contract role based in our Kuala Lumpur office. The candidate will undergo knowledge transfer before independently supporting the assigned portfolio during the coverage period.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full-set accounting activities for assigned regional entities, including AR, AP and GL functions.
• Perform month-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare and review balance sheet schedules and supporting documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support statutory audit preparation, including audit schedules, documentation and auditor queries.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders across Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China teams where required.
• Work closely with Finance Shared Services team members to ensure smooth handover, knowledge transfer and operational continuity.
• Monitor outstanding items and follow up on action points related to closing, reporting and audit matters.
• Support process documentation and ensure proper filing of accounting records.
• Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and reporting requirements as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in full-set accounts is required.
• Strong understanding of AR, AP, GL and month-end closing processes.
• Experience supporting multiple entities or regional finance operations will be an added advantage.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with regional stakeholders, including teams based in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and China.
• Good command of English, with Mandarin communication ability considered an advantage due to regional stakeholder coordination.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail, sense of ownership and ability to work independently.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in shared services, regional finance, outsourcing, technology or multinational company environment.
• Experience supporting Hong Kong or Taiwan entities.
• Exposure to statutory audit coordination and audit schedules.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive month-end closing deadlines.
