Job summary

SQC Management (Penang) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Senior Account Executive to handle a full set of accounts up to audit closing, prepare financial reporting, monitor cash flow, and liaise with auditors, tax agents, and banks.

You will review payroll calculations, supervise finance staff, maintain records, support ERP improvements, and assist project accounting and cost monitoring for ongoing projects.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in accounting/finance field.
• At least 3 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Proficient in accounting software (SQL / AutoCount / UBS / etc.).
• Willing to learn and fast learner.
• Able to work under pressure within time constraints.
• Able to do ad hoc works at all times.
• Able to work in a team.
• Able to liaise with third parties (clients, contractors, suppliers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support project accounting, budgeting & cost monitoring for ongoing projects.

Job description

Senior Account Executive’s Scope of Works:

1. Handle and maintain a full sets of Account until Audit closing.
2. Prepare financial reporting.
3. Monitor & perform bank matters and cash flow management.
4. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers & relevant authorities, and ensure compliance with accounting standards & statutory requirements.
5. Review Payroll calculations & statutory contributions, and support finance-related administrative matters when required.
6. Supervise & guide finance team members within the department, and review accounting entries & ensure smooth daily finance operations.
7. Maintain proper accounting records & accounting systems, assist in improving finance processes, internal controls & accounting procedures, and support implementation or enhancement of accounting/ERP systems where applicable.
8. Support Project & Cost Monitoring (i.e: project accounting, budgeting & cost monitoring for ongoing projects, and assist in project cash flow forecasting and financial reporting)

Requirements:

1. Prefer who has Degree or equivalent in accounting/finance field.
2. Prefer who has three (3) years and above of accounting/finance experiences
3. Proficient in accounting software (SQL / AutoCount / UBS / etc.)
4. Willing to learn and fast learner.
5. Able to work under pressure within time constrain
6. Able to do ad hoc works at all time.
7. Able to work in a team as group.
8. Able to liaise with third parties (i.e: clients, contractors, suppliers, Site Office Staff, debtors & etc).
