YULLY MACHINERY & SERVICES SDN BHD in Melaka is seeking a Senior Account Executive to manage financial accounting and reporting. You will oversee AR/AP, maintain ledgers, and support month- and year-end closes while ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax and internal controls.

The role requires a tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance and 5-7 years of relevant experience. ACCA/CIMA/CA or equivalent is highly desirable, with strong Excel skills and accounting software proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel functions.
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• ACC A/CIMA/CA or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join YULLY MACHINERY & SERVICES SDN BHD in Malim Jaya, Melaka. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in managing our financial accounting and reporting operations. As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing key financial processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing strategic support to our finance team. This role is essential to maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation and supporting informed business decision-making.

Key responsibilities

Manage and oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions

Prepare, review, and reconcile financial statements and reports in accordance with accounting standards and company policies

Monitor and maintain general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are accurate, properly documented and appropriately classified

Conduct regular bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of adjusting entries and consolidation schedules

Liaise with internal departments and external auditors to provide financial information and documentation as required

Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy

Train and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance on accounting practices and best practices

Analyse financial data and trends to identify potential areas for cost savings and process improvements

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting regulations, tax requirements and internal control standards

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Professional accounting certification such as ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent is highly desirable

Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting roles

Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel, including advanced spreadsheet functions and data analysis

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards

Excellent attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain accurate financial records

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies

Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Experience with month-end and year-end close processes

Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and mentor junior staff
