Job summary

AKT Components Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Sales Support/Account Manager to handle existing customers and support daily sales activities in Penang. You will coordinate with internal teams to meet customer requirements and prepare quotations.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or Engineering, with 3–5 years in sales support or account management. Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in sales support, account management, customer service, or a similar position.
• Experience in a manufacturing / engineering environment will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong follow-up, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate well in Mandarin (for China and Taiwan customers) English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Able to work independently and coordinate with different departments.
• Willing to travel for customer visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain good relationships with existing customers.
• Handle customer inquiries, requests, feedback, and follow-ups.
• Prepare quotations and follow up on quotation status.
• Follow up on customer RFQs, purchase orders, samples, and new projects.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, QA, Planning, and Finance to meet customer requirements.
• Monitor order and delivery status and update customers accordingly.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations and potential sales opportunities.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales from existing customers.
• Assist in customer meetings, visits, presentations, and business discussions.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
