Job summary

Zi Lian (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Mandarin Technical Support) to deliver expert technical assistance and maintenance for semiconductor equipment in Ipoh. You will collaborate closely with customers to resolve issues, perform on-site installations, calibrations, and routine servicing to maximise equipment uptime.

The role requires hands-on experience with semiconductor systems, strong language skills in Mandarin, Malay, and English, and a willingness to travel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical/electronic) or related field.
• 3+ years in semiconductor field experience preferred.
• Must communicate in Malay, English (MUET), and Mandarin.
• Willing to travel domestically and overseas.
• Able to read technical manuals in Mandarin and communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical support and maintenance services to clients in Ipoh.
• Ensure smooth operation of clients' systems and maximise equipment performance.
• Install, retrofit, maintain and calibrate machinery; respond to service requests and perform on-site repairs.
• Provide after-sales support and operation training.
• Assist sales with engineering documents/drawings/sample; prepare incident and buy-off reports and simple SOPs.
• Have own transport and be willing to travel domestically and internationally; work in a cleanroom environment.
