MTR Freight Sdn Bhd in Klang is seeking a Sea Freight Officer to plan, coordinate, and execute import and export shipments with a focus on timely movement and accurate documentation.

You will book shipments with shipping lines, verify documents, and coordinate with haulage and customer service teams while complying with SOPs and industry regulations.

Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–3 years of sea freight experience and strong communication/time management skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• 1–3 years of working experience in sea freight operations (Fresh graduates are welcome)
• Knowledge of sea freight procedures, vessel cut-off timelines, and shipping documentation
• Good coordination, communication, and time management skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

The Sea Freight Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing sea freight import and export shipments. The role ensures accurate documentation, timely cargo movement, and smooth communication between customers, shipping lines, port operators, and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

Handle sea freight shipment bookings with shipping lines

Prepare, check, and verify shipping documentation (e.g., BL, invoice, packing list, etc.)

Coordinate with haulage team on container arrangement and movement

Liaise with Customer Service team and customers regarding shipment status and updates

Monitor vessel schedules and ensure timely submission of documents before cut-off time

Ensure compliance with company SOP and shipping regulations

About you

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field

1–3 years of working experience in sea freight operations (Fresh graduates are welcome)

Knowledge of sea freight procedures, vessel cut-off timelines, and shipping documentation
