About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Sales Representative to join the sales team at YUNG CHI PAINT & VARNISH MFG. (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. This is a full-time position based in Bukit Rambai, Melaka. As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting our comprehensive range of paint and varnish products to both existing and prospective customers. This position is fundamental to our continued expansion and success in the competitive paint and coating industry.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, contact, and develop relationships with new potential clients within assigned territories
• Present and demonstrate product features, benefits, and applications to customers and prospects
• Prepare and deliver sales proposals and quotations tailored to client needs
• Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and key performance indicators
• Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline management using company systems
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure retention and repeat business
• Provide technical product information and support to customers regarding paint and varnish specifications
• Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery
• Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor activities, and growth opportunities
• Handle customer enquiries, concerns, and feedback professionally and promptly

What we're looking for

• Proven track record in sales, ideally within the manufacturing, chemical, or paint and coating industry
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients
• Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet and exceed sales targets consistently
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to identifying and pursuing sales opportunities
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge in ISO Procedures
• Knowledge of paint, varnish, or similar products is advantageous but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel within the assigned territory
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Fluency in English and Malay; Mandarin is a strong advantage
• Diploma or higher qualification in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred
