YUNG CHI PAINT & VARNISH MFG. (MALAYSIA) SDN. BHD. is seeking an Account Assistant to join our Finance team in Bukit Rambai, Melaka. You will support day-to-day accounting operations, process transactions, and help maintain accurate financial records.

Key requirements include a Diploma or Bachelor's in Accounting, proficiency in Excel and accounting software, and strong numerical/data-entry skills. Fluency in Malay and English is preferred, with Mandarin a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as Account Assistant, Accounting Clerk, or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel).
• Excellent numerical and data entry skills with high attention to detail.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken Malay & English (Mandarin a strong advantage).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability and confidentiality of financial information.
• Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards and tax regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and expense claims.
• Reconciling bank statements and identifying discrepancies.
• Maintaining and updating accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Preparing and filing financial documentation and supporting records.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Data entry and verification of accounting information into financial systems.
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements.
• Responding to invoice and payment queries from internal departments and external parties.
• Ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assisting with general administrative duties related to the finance department.

About the role
