Job summary

Randstad Malaysia seeks a Retail Sales Manager to lead a premier global manufacturer's retail distribution in the Klang Valley. You will own the regional dealer portfolio, hardware store networks, and drive field sales execution across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

Take strategic commercial control, mentor a small team, and partner with the Managing Director to refine pricing and promotions while ensuring regular dealer engagement and market expansion.

Qualifications

• Retail sales management experience in Paint/Coatings or related Building Materials/Construction Supplies sectors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth and market penetration across Central Region retail hardware stores and paint outlets.
• Formulate and execute regional sales strategies balancing new dealer acquisition with key account retention.
• Lead and develop a team of 3–4 sales executives, ensuring strong daily coverage and pipeline management.
• Collaborate with Managing Director to analyze market trends, pricing, and promotional campaigns.
• Maintain field presence through trade visits, store audits, and prompt dealer query resolution.

We are currently looking for a Retail Sales Manager for a premier global manufacturer of decorative paints and industrial coatings to lead their retail distribution network in the Central region. This position takes full commercial ownership over retail dealer accounts, hardware store networks, and sales team execution across the Klang Valley (Kuala Lumpur/Selangor) region. • Take strategic commercial control of a major regional retail portfolio, lead and develop a dedicated team of sales professionals, and drice market expansion for a renowned international manufacturing group.

the role

• Drive revenue growth and market penetration across retail hardware stores, paint specialty outlets, and building material stockists throughout the Central Region.
• Formulate and execute regional sales strategies that balance new dealer acquisition with key account retention to consistently achieve monthly revenue targets.
• Lead, mentor, and direct a team of 3 to 4 sales executives, driving daily channel coverage, pipeline management, and field sales execution.
• Partner directly with the Managing Director to analyze market trends, refine commercial pricing frameworks, and roll out effective promotional campaigns.
• Maintain an active field presence, conducting regular trade visits, joint sales calls, store audits, and prompt resolution of dealer queries.

the experience

• Strong track record in retail sales management, channel distribution, or key account management within the Paint and Coatings industry or related Building Materials/Construction Supplies sector (e.g., cement, hardware, drymix, adhesives).
• Proven experience managing retail dealer networks, hardware stockists, and trade accounts across Malaysia.
• High commercial acumen with a self-driven, target-oriented mindset capable of balancing new business development with account farming.
