Job description

This position will mainly focus on managing the sales activities in Malaysia as part of GI Asia sales team, mapping out and implementing strategy, leading commercial activities, strengthening and expanding position to drive core growth. This role also needs to address and develop new opportunities of GI business in Malaysia. This function needs to cooperate with customer service, supply chain, technical service and R&D both in SEA and China to ensure business is secured to meet Sherwin-Williams's goals for market share growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Be responsible and aggressive for sales and marketing activities in Malaysia
• Maintain and develop key account customer relationships by working across all levels of the organization, and identify their needs to provide technical advice and solutions
• Look for new opportunities and accounts in GI business scope
• Develop sales channels for business growth
• Build up local sales and technical service forces to support business growth
• Analyse existing market share and competitor's market share in Malaysia
• Analyse and understand competitors' technologies, strategies and activities in the region
• Implement the regional defined sales strategy
• Meet company's annual targets for sales figure, new business and gross margins
• Work with supply chain and customer service for forecast and inventory management

About you

• B.S degree or above in Science or Business degree with strong chemistry aptitude (MBA is a plus)
• 5-8 years technical and sales experience with a chemical company or other related B2B business role
• Understanding of operational quality and analytical tools
• Experience performing business development, account management and sales activities
• Business development and sales experience in chemical industry preferred with excellent track record
• Experience working in coating industry under MNC culture preferred
