Job summary

IntelliPro is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the Southern region for heavy-duty industrial and protective coatings. The role focuses on securing new accounts, expanding market coverage, and driving revenue with support from dealers and the technical team.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 8 years in B2B coatings sales, a proven track record of growing key accounts, and a strong network in manufacturing or marine industries in Johor and nearby areas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marine or Mechanical Engineering, Business or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience in industrial, protective or marine coatings or related fields.
• Established network within Southern region (Johor and surrounding areas).
• Proven track record developing new business and managing key accounts and dealer channels.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of heavy-duty industrial and protective coatings across the Southern region, focusing on manufacturing and marine customers.
• Develop and execute regional sales strategy and business plan to hit revenue, volume and margin targets.
• Identify, prospect and secure new accounts including manufacturers, shipyards, fabricators, EPC contractors and asset owners.
• Build and manage long-term relationships with key decision makers, specifiers, consultants and applicators.
• Collaborate with dealers and distributors to grow market coverage and support joint activities.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend coating systems, coordinating with technical teams for specs, trials, and site support.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders, and negotiate pricing and terms per guidelines.

We have recently partnered with a MNC company that specialize in paints and coating. The company is expanding their footprint in Malaysia and currently looking for Sales Manager as part of their growth strategy.

• Drive sales of the company heavy-duty industrial and protective coatings across the Southern region, with a focus on manufacturing and marine customers.
• Develop and execute a regional sales strategy and business plan to achieve revenue, volume and margin targets.
• Identify, prospect and secure new accounts, including manufacturers, shipyards, fabricators, EPC contractors and asset owners.
• Build and manage long-term relationships with key decision makers, specifiers, consultants and applicators.
• Work closely with dealers and distributors in the region to grow market coverage and support joint sales activities.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable coating systems, coordinating with technical service teams on specifications, trials and site support.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms in line with company guidelines.

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marine or Mechanical Engineering, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of B2B sales experience in industrial, protective or marine coatings, or a related industrial products field.
• Established network within manufacturing and/or marine industries in the Southern region (Johor and surrounding areas).
• Proven track record of developing new business and managing key accounts and dealer channels.
• Self-driven and able to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote, field-based role
