Helios Engineering Sdn Bhd is expanding its M&E Fire Protection division in Malaysia. The role focuses on developing new business opportunities, securing proposals, and managing client interactions across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in M&E or fire protection sales or project roles, with knowledge of Malaysian standards and BOMBA requirements. Will travel to client sites and meetings as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in M&E, fire protection, or related sales/project roles preferred.
• Oil & Gas fire protection experience is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with fire protection standards and BOMBA requirements is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new business opportunities in fire protection and M&E sectors.
• Prepare sales proposals, costings, quotations and tender submissions.
• Conduct site assessments and attend meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.
• Review project specifications and read M&E drawings and technical requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors and clients.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Follow up on sales enquiries, quotes and tenders.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory updates.

Helios Engineering Sdn Bhd is a growing fire protection specialist providing complete fire protection solutions for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.

As part of our expansion, we are looking for motivated and experienced Sales & Operations personnel to join our M&E Fire Protection Division.

Candidates with experience in Oil & Gas industry fire protection systems are highly encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and secure new business opportunities in the fire protection and M&E engineering sectors.


• Prepare sales proposals, costings, quotations and tender submissions.


• Conduct site assessments and attend meetings with clients, consultants and contractors.


• Review and understand project specifications, M&E drawings and technical requirements.


• Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, clients and key industry stakeholders.


• Work closely with internal design, engineering and project teams to ensure smooth project execution.


• Follow up on sales enquiries, quotations, tenders and ongoing project opportunities.


• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and relevant BOMBA/M&E regulatory updates.


• Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the company's overall business growth.

Role Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services Engineering or other related engineering fields.


• Candidates with 3–5 years of experience in M&E, fire protection, or related sales/project roles will be given priority.


• Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is an added advantage.

Technical Knowledge

• Good understanding of fire protection systems, including sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, CO₂, foam and fire alarm systems.


• Able to read and understand M&E drawings, tender documents and technical specifications.


• Familiarity with UBBL, BOMBA requirements and Malaysian fire protection standards is an added advantage.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office.


• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an added advantage.
