Job summary

Hirehub Management Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a business development professional to grow new opportunities in data center, M&E and critical infrastructure sectors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, M&E Eng, Business or related field.
• 2–5 years in technical sales, engineering sales or business development preferred.
• Existing industry contacts with data center owners, main contractors or vendors are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and customers in data center, M&E and critical infra sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers and partners.
• Promote engineering solutions including testing & commissioning, UPS/critical power, HVAC/cooling, and O&M.
• Identify projects and manage opportunities from planning through tender, quotation, negotiation and contract award.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations and tender submissions.
• Conduct customer visits, technical discussions and presentations.
• Maintain sales pipelines, customer databases and project opportunity reports.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Work with Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.

Our Client is an engineering service provider specializing in data center testing & commissioning, electrical systems, critical power, and O&M services. With expanding operations across Malaysia and Southeast Asia, the company supports major data center and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

Job Description (JD):

• Develop new business opportunities and customers within the data center, M&E, and critical infrastructure sectors.
• Build and maintain relationships with data center owners, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Promote engineering solutions including testing & commissioning, electrical systems, UPS, critical power, HVAC/cooling, load bank testing, and data center O&M.
• Identify upcoming projects and manage opportunities from project planning and tender stages through quotation, negotiation, and contract award.
• Understand customer requirements and coordinate with engineering teams to develop technical and commercial proposals.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, presentations, and tender submissions.
• Conduct customer visits, presentations, and technical discussions.
• Maintain accurate sales pipelines, customer databases, and project opportunity reports.
• Follow up on quotations and negotiate commercial terms.
• Work closely with Malaysia and regional teams to achieve sales targets.

Job Requirements (JR):

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, M&E Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering sales, or business development is preferred.
• Experience in data centers, M&E, electrical testing & commissioning, UPS/critical power, switchgear, transformers, busbars, HVAC/cooling, generators, load banks, or data center O&M is advantageous.
• Existing industry contacts with data center owners, main contractors, M&E contractors, consultants, or equipment vendors are highly advantageous.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
• Fluent in English and Mandarin; Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with new customer acquisition.
• Willing to travel within Malaysia and Southeast Asia for customer meetings and business development.
• Strong industry connections and network within the data center sector are highly encouraged.
