Job summary

Depend Electronics seeks an experienced Sales Manager based in Penang, Malaysia, to drive customer development and sales growth across the Malaysian market. You will lead new business pursuits and manage key accounts, collaborating with sourcing, procurement, quality, logistics, and finance to deliver end-to-end component solutions.

The role emphasizes developing OEM/ODM/EMS/CEM relationships, expanding the customer base, and achieving revenue and gross profit targets within Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 year of relevant sales/business development experience in the semiconductor or electronic components industry.
• Industry experience is mandatory.
• Experience in electronic components distribution, independent distribution, semiconductor trading, component sourcing, or related B2B electronic component businesses.
• Existing relationships with OEM, ODM, EMS, CEM, distributors, procurement, sourcing, or purchasing teams in Malaysia will be a strong advantage.
• Solid understanding of semiconductors, ICs, electronic components, component sourcing, and the electronics supply chain.
• Proven ability to develop new customers and manage the complete B2B sales cycle.
• Strong communication, negotiation, customer development, and account management skills.
• Good command of English; Mandarin is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and acquire new OEM, ODM, EMS, CEM, and electronic manufacturing customers across Malaysia.
• Identify and develop business opportunities within the semiconductor and electronic components industry.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing, sourcing, procurement, engineering, and supply chain teams.
• Promote and sell semiconductors, ICs, electronic components, shortage parts, obsolete components, excess inventory, and hard-to-find components.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, customer development, RFQ/inquiry handling, quotation, negotiation, order management, delivery follow-up, and payment collection.
• Develop and manage key accounts to generate repeat business and long-term customer relationships.
• Travel within Malaysia when required to meet customers and develop new business.
