Job summary

Mood and Wonders Sdn Bhd is seeking a passionate Sales Designer / Consultant to translate client aspirations into meaningful interior projects in Malaysia. You will engage with clients, understand lifestyle and budget, and present compelling design recommendations.

With 2–3 years in interior design or design & build, you will leverage strong Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia, drive sales, and collaborate with the design team to deliver exceptional experiences and close projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years in interior design consultancy or design & build.
• Strong knowledge of interior design, space planning, materials and renovation processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
• Sales-driven, proactive and confident in handling clients.
• Organised, responsible and able to work independently.
• Own transport and able to attend client meetings and site visits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales & Consultation : Engage with potential clients, understand their lifestyle, design preferences, requirements and budget.

Business Development : Generate leads, manage enquiries and identify new sales opportunities.

Design Advisory : Provide professional design recommendations and communicate MW's design philosophy and services.

Sales Conversion : Prepare proposals and quotations, conduct presentations, follow up on enquiries and secure projects.

Client Relationship Management : Build strong client relationships and deliver an excellent customer experience.

Team Collaboration : Work closely with the internal design team to develop proposals and ensure a smooth handover to the project team.

Sales Performance : Achieve sales targets and maintain accurate records of enquiries and sales progress.

REQUIREMENTS

At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in interior design consultancy, interior sales or design & build.

Good understanding of interior design, space planning, materials and renovation processes.

Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

Good command of Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.

Sales-driven, proactive and confident in handling clients.

Good aesthetic sense with a passion for design and lifestyle.

Responsible, organised and able to work independently.

Possess own transport and willing to attend client meetings and site visits.
