Sales Executive (Technical Sales)

Job summary

IKA – Laboratory, Analytical and Process Technology is seeking a hands-on bioprocess specialist to drive installation, demonstrations and training of bioreactors across the APAC region (excluding China and Hong Kong). You will build strong customer relationships and tailor technical solutions.

The role requires travel and excellent communication skills to support end customers and distributors, with a focus on optimizing bioreactor performance for diverse applications in biotech, pharma and life

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related field
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience with bioreactors/fermenters (lab, pilot, or production)
• Own transport and flexible for frequent travel (domestic & overseas)
• Experience in installation, training, or technical support for bioreactors
• Experience in technical sales, application support, or business development in biotechnology/pharma/life sciences
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct product installation, demonstrations, and training sessions to showcase bioreactor capabilities.
• Listen to and understand customer needs to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable bioreactor configurations based on customer applications.
• Assist customers in troubleshooting and optimizing bioreactor performance for various applications (cell culture, microbial fermentation, photobioreactors).
• Support sales IKA's bioprocessing equipment directly to end customers and distributors in the assigned region (APAC, excluding China and Hong Kong).
• Maintain and expand customer accounts while meeting assigned sales targets.
• Develop and establish new sales networks within the assigned region.
• Constantly improve technical product and application knowledge.
