Job summary

IKA Works (Asia) Sdn Bhd – Rawang, Selangor is seeking a biologically oriented professional to lead installation, demonstrations, and training of bioreactor systems. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and delivering effective technical support to ensure optimal bioprocess performance.

The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in biotechnology or related field with hands-on bioreactor experience and be willing to travel domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology, Bioprocess Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience with bioreactors/fermenters (lab, pilot, or production).
• Own transport and willingness to travel domestically and overseas.
• Experience in installation, training or technical support for bioreactors is advantageous.
• Experience in technical sales, application support, or business development within biotech/pharma/life sciences.
• Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product installation, demonstrations, and training sessions for bioreactors.
• Understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.
• Provide technical consultation and recommend suitable bioreactor configurations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize bioreactor performance for various applications.
• Support sales of IKA's bioprocessing equipment to end customers and distributors in APAC (excluding China & Hong Kong).
• Maintain and expand customer accounts and develop new sales networks in the region.
