Job summary

HOEM SDN. BHD. seeks an experienced B2B industrial sales professional to drive new business opportunities and manage key customer accounts in Malaysia.

You will oversee the full sales cycle from enquiry, quotation, negotiation, to order confirmation and project handover, ensuring customer satisfaction and steady sales growth. The role requires building long-term relationships across manufacturing, oil & gas, semiconductor, and engineering sectors, with regular client visits and travel across

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of B2B industrial sales experience.
• Experience in metal fabrication, pressure vessels, turning & milling, and related processes.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and estimate costs.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and maintain existing customer accounts.
• Manage sales process from enquiry to project handover to ensure satisfaction.
• Identify and develop customers in manufacturing, oil & gas, semiconductors, and engineering.
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and terms.
• Attend exhibitions, visits, and prepare weekly sales reports.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, purchasing, and QA on costing and feasibility.

Education

Diploma or Degree in ME/Manufacturing Eng/Business

Job description

Responsible for developing new business opportunities and maintaining existing customer accounts for machining, metal fabrication, pressure vessels, structural steel, and custom engineering projects. Manage the sales process from enquiry, quotation, negotiation, order confirmation, and project handover to ensure customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and develop new customers in manufacturing, oil & gas, semiconductor, food processing, and engineering industries.

Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.

Visit customers regularly to understand project requirements.

Source and follow up on RFQs (Request for Quotation).

Review engineering drawings and customer specifications before preparing quotations.

Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Purchasing, and QA departments on costing and project feasibility.

Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers.

Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contract terms.

Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Prepare weekly sales reports.

Attend exhibitions, networking events, and customer visits.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related field.

Minimum 5 years of B2B industrial sales experience.

Experience in one or more of the following:

Metal Fabrication

Pressure Vessels, disc head fabrication

Turning & Milling

Laser Cutting

Sheet Metal Fabrication

Welding Processes (MIG, TIG, SMAW)

Pressure Vessel Fabrication

Cost estimation and material pricing

Ability to read mechanical drawings.

Knowledge of fabrication processes, welding, machining, and manufacturing methods.

Good communication and negotiation skills.

Possess own transport and willing to travel throughout Malaysia.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin speaker is an advantage.
