Truwater Cooling Towers Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth in the Industrial & Production (I&P) or Packaged (HVAC) sector. The role combines technical insight with sales acumen to engage plant engineers, facility managers, and OEM contractors across Malaysia.

The successful candidate will travel frequently, support tender processes, and collaborate with engineering and service teams to deliver high-quality cooling solutions and 3R services.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to engage industrial clients and manage long-term technical sales cycles.
• Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Independent, analytical, and able to work in fast-paced environments.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia; own transport required.
• Experience in application engineering or related HVAC/I&P/coil systems/mechanical plant services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within I&P or HVAC.
• Build a pipeline through cold-calls, networking, site visits, and referrals.
• Serve as the primary contact for industrial cooling tower inquiries and technical discussions.
• Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements.
• Promote 3R services (Replacement, Refurbishment, Retrofitting).
• Develop customized solutions with internal engineering, design, and service teams.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
• Support project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the lifecycle.
• Maintain relationships with key clients and follow up on service contracts and warranties.
• Attend trade exhibitions and industry seminars to expand brand visibility.

We are seeking a Sales Engineer to spearhead growth in the Industrial & Production (I&P) or Packaged (HVAC) sector. The ideal candidate will be a technically competent go-getter who thrives in the field and is eager to build new client relationships across various industrial sectors. You’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities for both new cooling tower installations and 3R solutions by engaging directly with plant engineers, facility managers, and OEM contractors. This role requires equal parts technical insight and sales drive perfect for someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering problems with commercial impact.

Key Responsibilities

Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the I&P or HVAC sector.

Build a pipeline of prospective clients through cold-calls, networking, site visits, and referrals.

Serve as the primary contact for all industrial cooling tower enquiries and technical discussions.

Conduct detailed site assessments to evaluate existing systems and recommend performance-enhancing solutions.

Promote Truwater’s 3R services (Replacement, Refurbishment, Retrofitting) to extend equipment lifecycle and improve efficiency.

Develop customized solutions in coordination with internal engineering, design, and service teams.

Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and documents for tender or direct negotiation.

Support project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Maintain strong relationships with key clients, following up on service contracts, warranties, and performance commitments.

Attend trade exhibitions, industry seminars, and site briefings to expand brand visibility and sales reach.

Carry out additional tasks as directed by superior or management.

What We’re Looking For

Fluent in English, Malay, and Mandarin to serve Mandarin-speaking customers (spoken and written).

Able to explain technical concepts to clients of varied backgrounds.

Willingness to travel frequently across Malaysia; own transport required.

Experience in application engineering or related industries such as HVAC, I&P, coil systems, or mechanical plant services is an added advantage.
