Job summary

Truwater Cooling Towers Sdn Bhd, a Seagull Cooling Technologies Asia Pacific subsidiary, is seeking a Project Coordinator to support manufacturing and industrial projects in Malaysia. The role focuses on planning, coordinating across engineering, production, procurement and site teams, tracking milestones, managing budgets and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Strong communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–4 years of relevant working experience in project coordination or project management.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial projects is advantageous.
• Strong planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and project scheduling tools.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.

Prepare project schedules, timelines, and action plans.

Coordinate project milestones and deadlines.

Monitor progress against the approved schedule.

Identify potential delays and recommend corrective actions.

2. Project Coordination

Coordinate with engineering, production, maintenance, warehouse, procurement, project management and installation teams.

Arrange project meetings and follow up on outstanding tasks.

Communicate project requirements and updates to relevant departments.

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and customers when required.

3. Project Monitoring and Reporting

Track project progress, deliverables, and completion status.

Prepare weekly or monthly project progress reports.

Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resource requirements.

Escalate project issues, risks, and delays to the Project Management.

4. Cost and Resource Control

Assist in preparing project budgets and cost estimates.

Monitor project expenditure against the approved budget.

Coordinate equipment rental, material purchases, and manpower allocation.

Verify quotations, invoices, and project-related expenses.

5. Materials and Equipment Coordination

Ensure required materials and components are available according to the project schedule.

Coordinate with the warehouse and procurement teams regarding stock and deliveries.

Arrange equipment such as forklifts, cranes, scaffolding, and scissor lifts when needed.

Follow up on material shortages and delivery delays.

6. Quality, Safety, and Compliance

Ensure project activities follow approved specifications and procedures.

Coordinate site inspections and quality checks.

Follow up on safety requirements, permits, and risk assessments.

Ensure non-conformities and defects are recorded and rectified.

7. Documentation and Project Closure

Maintain project schedules, reports, meeting minutes, and records.

Track drawings, work orders, purchase orders, and project documentation.

Coordinate testing, commissioning, and final inspections.

Prepare handover documents and project completion reports.

Record lessons learned for future projects

Qualifications and Experience

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum 3–4 years of relevant working experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role.

Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or industrial projects will be an advantage.

Good project planning, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and Project scheduling tools.

Able to coordinate with multiple departments, contractors, suppliers, and customers.
