Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking a Junior/Senior Sales Engineer with an engineering background to drive regional business growth for industrial control and automation solutions.

The role involves identifying new opportunities, pitching PLC/SCADA-based automation solutions, and conducting client visits to tailor equipment setups. A diploma or degree in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics/Automation Engineering is required, with 1–2 years in sales engineering and travel willingness.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
• 1-2 years of sales engineering experience (driven fresh graduates with a technical background are welcome).
• Basic understanding of industrial automation and control systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Must own a vehicle and be willing to travel within assigned regions.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities and nurture relationships with existing industrial clients.
• Pitch technical automation solutions, including PLCs, SCADA systems, sensors, and robotics.
• Conduct client site visits to assess technical constraints and propose optimal equipment setups.
• Prepare commercial quotes, negotiate terms, and close sales orders to meet targets.
• Collaborate with internal technical specialists to deliver end-to-end customer solutions.
